Nail Technician

Duties

• Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, gel x, builder gel, and nail art with precision and creativity
• Maintain strict sanitation and sterilization protocols to ensure client safety and hygiene standards are upheld
• Consult with clients to understand their preferences, recommend suitable nail treatments, and provide personalized care
• Stay updated on the latest nail trends, techniques, and products to offer innovative services
• Promote retail sales of nail care products and accessories through effective upselling strategies
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized workspace that adheres to health regulations
• Support team members with additional beauty services such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, or skin treatments when qualified

Skills

• Strong knowledge of color theory to create visually appealing nail designs and art
• Excellent customer service skills to foster positive client relationships and ensure satisfaction
• Proficiency in sanitation practices to maintain a safe working environment for clients and staff
• Formal training in cosmetology or esthetician licensing with specialization in nail care
• Ability to perform advanced services such as gel application, acrylics, and nail enhancements like hair extensions or threading when applicable
• Experience with retail sales techniques including upselling and retail math for maximizing product recommendations
• Familiarity with esthetic laser treatments, dermabrasion, or other advanced skin procedures is a plus
• Effective communication skills for explaining treatments and engaging with diverse clients
