About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nursery Nanny / Early Years Assistant to support our teaching team in providing a safe, structured, and engaging environment for young children. This role is essential to the smooth daily operation of the classroom and the wellbeing of every child.

This is a hands-on role requiring energy, patience, and genuine care for early childhood development.

Key Responsibilities

Support the class teacher in daily classroom routines and activities

Ensure children’s safety, hygiene, and emotional wellbeing at all times

Assist with feeding, toileting, diaper changing, and nap routines

Help prepare, set up, and clean learning areas and materials

Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play

Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and social skills

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the classroom

Follow all nursery policies, safeguarding, and health & safety procedures

Requirements

Previous experience in a nursery, childcare centre, or as a nanny (preferred)

Genuine passion for working with young children

Calm, patient, and responsible personality

Ability to work well as part of a team

Physically fit to manage active childcare duties

Basic childcare or first aid certification is an advantage
