Full-Time Nanny Needed in Byron Center, MI

Private Family | Preschooler, and School-Aged Child

We are seeking a full-time nanny to join our family in Byron Center, Michigan.

We’re looking for someone who is caring, highly organized, detail-oriented, and naturally proactive. This role is much bigger than simply “watching kids.” We want someone who genuinely enjoys creating structure, helping children grow, and becoming a trusted part of our family’s daily life.

Our family currently has two boys, ages 4 and 6, both of whom will be in school full-time during the weekdays. We are also welcoming a new baby in September, so infant experience is extremely important.

The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, a Type A personality, conservative Christian values, and previous experience caring for infants and young children in a private home setting.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday through Friday
• Approximately 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Guaranteed 40+ hours per week
• Flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, or travel is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive daily care for our infant and assist with after-school care for our older boys
• Create a safe, nurturing, calm, and structured environment
• Support developmental milestones through play, learning activities, reading, and outdoor time
• Prepare meals and snacks for the children
• Help maintain daily routines, nap schedules, and activity schedules
• Transport children to school or activities as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in children’s rooms, play spaces, and common areas
• Children’s laundry and light household tasks related to the kids
• Assist with packing and logistics during occasional family travel
• Communicate openly with parents regarding schedules, routines, and child development

What We’re Looking For

• Previous full-time nanny experience, especially with infants
• Strong references from prior families
• Highly dependable and punctual
• Calm, patient, and emotionally mature
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable around dogs
• Non-smoker
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
• Someone who values privacy, professionalism, and long-term consistency

Compensation

• Competitive pay based on experience
• Expected range: $20–$30/hour
• Paid vacation and additional benefits negotiable for the right candidate
