Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Infant Care
- Supervise infants at all times to ensure safety.
- Feed infants according to parents’ instructions (bottle, breast milk, or solids as appropriate).
- Change diapers and maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
- Bathe and dress infants daily or as needed.
- Ensure safe sleep practices (back sleeping, appropriate crib setup).
2. Medical Assistance & Health Monitoring
- Administer medications or treatments as prescribed by a doctor and approved by parents.
- Monitor infants for signs of illness (fever, rashes, unusual behavior) and report immediately.
- Keep records of medications given, feeding, sleep patterns, and any medical notes.
- Perform basic first aid if required (e.g., minor cuts, nosebleeds) and escalate serious cases promptly.
- Ensure vaccination schedules are maintained and remind parents of upcoming appointments.
3. Safety & Emergency Preparedness
- Maintain a safe environment (removing choking hazards, securing furniture, using child-proof locks).
- Be trained in infant CPR and basic first aid.
- Know emergency contacts, pediatrician details, and local medical facilities.
4. Household Support Related to Infant
- Wash baby clothes and linens as needed.
- Keep play and feeding areas tidy.
- Assist with light meal prep for infants (purees, formula preparation).
5. Communication
- Provide daily updates to parents about feeding, sleep, behavior, and milestones.
- Discuss any concerns regarding infant health, development, or behavior promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience caring for infants (6 months to 1 year).
- Knowledge of infant nutrition, sleep, and hygiene practices.
- Medical knowledge - first aid, or nursing background.
- Patience, attentiveness, and reliability.
- References from previous families preferred.

- Support with light household chores if agreed.
- Language development or early learning activities.
- Flexibility for night care if needed.
