Nanny / Caregiver (3 years of experience REQUIRED)

The family is seeking a true team player who is nurturing, flexible, and confident managing afternoons while collaborating closely with parents. They often takes a “divide and conquer” approach—some days the nanny may be with one or two children while a parent handles the others. Each afternoon may look a bit different, and flexibility and communication are key.

Seeking a Part-Time Nanny/ Caregiver

Contract Type: Long-Term Employment

Location: Basking Ridge, NJ

Start Date: As soon as the right fit is found

Working Days: Monday to Thursday (flexibility on Friday ​​to add coverage/additional hours if needed)

Working Hours: 2:30pm to 7:30pm

Children: 7.5 years , 5 years, and 9 months Salary: $35/hr

Duties & Responsibilities for Nanny/ Caregiver

Responsibilities will vary by day based on the family’s schedule and their collaborative “divide and conquer” approach. The nanny will work closely with parents to support smooth afternoons and early evenings.

Prior to pickups, the nanny will assist with child-related resets, snack prep, activity organization, and light early dinner preparation School pickup for the 7.5-year-old around 3:30pm (primary daily pickup)

Supporting transitions after school and activities

Providing calm, patient care for a child with ADHD and sensory sensitivities (high-functioning; benefits from slower transitions)

Age-appropriate play, engagement, and supervision

Light meal/snack prep for the children

Light tidying related to the children and play areas

Assisting with homework, activities, and sports prep as needed

Note: It is rare for the nanny to be responsible for all three children at once

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of paid nanny experience, including infants through school-aged children

Experience caring for multiple children

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record & reliable transportation

Should live within 30 minutes of Basking Ridge, NJ

Legally authorized to work in the U.S. CPR & First Aid Certified (or willing to obtain) Comfortable working in a home where parents may be working from home on some days

Non-smoker

Strong communication skills and openness to collaborate with parents as a team

Up to date with TDAP and flu shots (preferred but not a must)

Dog-friendly

Pay: $35.00 per hour
