Nanny for 8 yr old

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Nanny to provide attentive care for an 8-year-old child. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a young child's development, ensure their safety, and foster a nurturing environment. we are looking for someone to get her off the bus everyday around 4:15pm and watch her until I arrive home from work around 5:15. It’s a short time but pay is negotiable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage the child in age-appropriate activities that promote growth, learning, and creativity
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the child's dietary needs and preferences
• Assist with homework, reading, and educational activities to support academic development
• Maintain a safe environment by implementing childproofing measures and practicing first aid when necessary
• Support daily routines such as dressing, bathing, and bedtime to foster independence
• Perform light cleaning related to childcare duties, including tidying play areas and laundry for the child
• Communicate regularly with parents about the child's progress, needs, and any concerns

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children of similar age, preferably in nannying or daycare settings
• Knowledge of first aid procedures and CPR certification is highly desirable
• Ability to cook healthy meals and snacks suitable for children with various dietary needs
• Experience caring for children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Strong understanding of child development principles, including toddler care and preschool activities
• Excellent communication skills and a nurturing demeanor
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and responsibilities
