Nanny / House Manager Position

A family in Hingham, MA is seeking a confident, energetic, and proactive nanny/household support professional to care for their three children: 4-year-old twins and a 7-year-old. Since the children are in school, the role combines afternoon childcare with household support.

The parents work from home, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable working alongside parents while taking charge of the children’s daily routine. The family is looking for someone warm, dependable, and eager to become a valued part of the family.

The ideal candidate will truly love the outdoors and enjoy creating fun, active, and engaging adventures with the children. This may include nature walks, playground outings, exploring local parks, outdoor games, swimming at the local club, seasonal activities, and encouraging the children to be curious, active, and confident outside. This person should bring energy, creativity, and enthusiasm to each day while also supporting independence, responsibility, and age-appropriate growth.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–7:00 PM
• Guaranteed 35 hours per week

Compensation

• $35–$40 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, engaging care for three children: 4-year-old twins and a 7-year-old
• Manage household tasks including children’s laundry, dishes, tidying, and helping keep the home organized
• Drive children from school and to activities, using the vehicle provided
• Assist with bringing children to scheduled activities and outings
• Reheat chef-prepared meals as needed
• Be mindful of one child’s allergies and follow the family’s dietary and safety guidelines
• Engage the children in active outdoor play, nature-based activities, swimming, and age-appropriate adventures
• Encourage independence, responsibility, and confidence while maintaining structure and safety
• Build a warm, supportive, and trusting relationship with the children and family

Requirements

• Confident, competent, and able to take initiative independently
• Comfortable working in a home where parents work from home
• Energetic, creative, and comfortable with year-round outdoor activity
• Must love the outdoors and enjoy swimming with children
• Able to take charge while also supporting the children’s independence
• Comfortable caring for children with allergies and following family guidelines
• Reliable driver with a clean driving record
• Able to respect household dietary and lifestyle preferences
• Seeking a long-term role where they can become a valued part of the family
• Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
