Job description

Provide essential support in a childcare setting, assisting teachers and contributing to the overall well-being and development of young children.

Classroom Assistance

• Contribute to the arrangement and organization of classroom furniture, creating an inviting and functional space for learning and play.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to set up and modify the classroom layout based on daily activities and lesson plans.
• Assist in the preparation of arts and crafts materials, ensuring that all necessary supplies are readily available.
• Regularly sanitize and clean toys and play areas to maintain a healthy and safe environment for the children.
• Work closely with the teaching team to identify and address any maintenance or cleanliness issues in the nursery space promptly.
• Actively participate in the overall well-being of the nursery, engaging in team meetings, training sessions, and contributing ideas to enhance the quality of childcare service.
• Maintain open communication with the teaching team and parents to address any concerns or updates related to the children's well-being.
• Be ready to lend a hand with additional tasks when colleagues in OS are unavailable, ensuring a seamless workflow and strong team support.

Childcare Responsibilities

• Ensure that all children are kept clean and comfortable throughout the day.
• Monitor and manage diaper-changing supplies to maintain a well-stocked and organized changing area.
• Assist in changing children's clothes as needed, ensuring they are appropriately dressed for various activities and weather conditions.
• Prioritize and uphold safety standards when handling infants and toddlers.
• Implement and maintain safety protocols during diaper changes to ensure a secure environment for the children.

Acceptable proficiency/threshold education, qualifications, training, and experience are necessary to enable the role holder to perform the role fully and effectively.

Educational qualifications (Minimum educational background required to execute the role)

A high school diploma or its equivalent

Relevant experience (Type/ Nature and years of relevant experience required to execute the role)

• References to ensure the candidate has a clean record and a history of responsible and reliable childcare.
• Practical experience in a childcare setting, as a nanny, babysitter
