Nanny/Family Assistant

A loving family in Chula Vista, CA is seeking a dependable, bilingual Nanny/Family Assistant to provide long-term support for their two young children, ages 1.5 and 3, beginning ASAP. The family also has a live-in nanny, who will remain in place, and this role will provide additional coverage and household support

Both children attend Montessori school from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (twice weekly schedule noted).

Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Personal Assistant / Household Manager duties: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Weekend coverage: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Saturday OR Sunday)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Pick up the children from school and provide attentive, engaging care and supervision after school hours, including play, activities, and routines until evening.
Support daily household management tasks between childcare responsibilities, including general organization and light administrative assistance as needed.
Assist with light household cleaning and maintaining tidy, organized common areas.
Help ensure smooth daily routines and transitions between school, activities, and home life.
Provide weekend childcare coverage, including engaging and supervising both children during morning and early afternoon hours.
Support overall household needs as a flexible and proactive household assistant.

The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and engaging, with a warm and energetic approach to working with young children. They are confident managing two active children and enjoy creating a structured, fun, and supportive environment. The family values someone proactive, flexible, and comfortable supporting both childcare and household responsibilities. Spanish bilingual ability is strongly preferred, as is a confident driver with experience driving a minivan.

Comfort with pets is required, as the home includes a cat.

Must be open to working collaboratively within a household that includes an existing live-in nanny.

Compensation: $38 – $40 per hour
