National Commercial Government Relations Executive - Department stores - Retail - Riyadh, KSA Job Description
About the role
We are seeking a proactive and detail oriented Government Relations Executive to join our KSA Commercial Government Relations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing daily online and offline government transactions, ensuring compliance with KSA regulations, and supporting internal stakeholders with timely processing of permits, licenses, approvals, and various commercial documentation.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do
Government Relations Operations
- Process and follow through on all Commercial GR service requests, including permits, certificates, licenses, lease agreements, renewals, amendments, and cancellations.
- Manage online applications and fee payments across relevant government portals.
- Maintain accurate trackers for all CGR documents and ensure proper filing on ECM.
- Share issued licenses, permits, and approvals with stakeholders and close completed requests in the CGR system.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with internal stakeholders such as Operations, HR, Logistics, IT, Leasing, and Commercial teams to obtain required documents and approvals.
- Respond to internal and external customer queries with clear, timely communication.
- Keep business units updated on regulatory changes, new requirements, and evolving government processes.
Regulatory & Administrative Support
- Prepare official letters and applications for ministries, municipalities, and other government bodies.
- Support commercial and digital teams with Consumer Protection cases, investigations, and government enquiries.
- Administer and update the Commercial GR database to track validity and expiry of trade licenses, trademarks, agency agreements, and permits.
- Ensure full compliance with KSA laws, regulations, and internal governance policies.
Qualifications
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Government Relations, ideally within Retail, F&B, or Hospitality.
- Previous GR experience within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is essential.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of KSA company law, commercial regulations, and procedures related to licensing, trade activities, import/export, distribution, and store operations.
- Good commercial acumen with strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines with resilience.
- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
