About the Role
To lead and drive SPIMACO’s national marketing strategy across Saudi Arabia, ensuring strong brand performance, market share growth, and alignment with global strategic direction while adapting to local market dynamics, SFDA regulations, and competitive landscape.
Responsibilities:
A. Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute the national marketing strategy aligned with global brand strategy.

Translate global brand positioning into actionable local campaigns.

Lead annual marketing planning, forecasting, and budgeting.

Identify growth opportunities across portfolio (Rx, OTC, generics, specialty, etc.).

Drive launch excellence for new product introductions.
B. Portfolio & Brand Management

Oversee full product lifecycle management.

Monitor brand performance (sales, share, profitability).

Develop tactical plans for mature, growth, and declining brands.

Ensure differentiation in competitive generic markets.

Lead pricing and positioning strategies in coordination with commercial & regulatory teams.
C. Market & Customer Insights
-
Analyze IMS/IQVIA data, competitor intelligence, and market trends.

Identify unmet needs in physicians, pharmacists, and institutional accounts.

Drive customer-centric marketing programs.
-
Ensure effective segmentation and targeting strategies.
D. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with:

Sales leadership (field force effectiveness)

Medical affairs (scientific alignment)

Regulatory (SFDA compliance)

Supply chain (forecast alignment)

Finance (ROI & P&L management)

Act as the key KSA marketing liaison to global marketing teams.
E. Team Leadership

Lead, coach, and develop brand managers and product managers.

Build a high-performance marketing culture.

Establish clear KPIs and performance metrics.

Develop succession planning and talent pipeline.
F. Compliance & Governance

Ensure all materials and campaigns comply with:

SFDA regulations

Saudi promotional code
-
Internal compliance standards

Maintain strong pharmacovigilance awareness in promotional activities.
G. Financial & Commercial Accountability

Own marketing budget and ROI optimization.

Forecast accurately and align with sales targets.

Deliver revenue, profitability, and market share objectives.

Track and report KPIs to Global Marketing Director.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, or Life Sciences (preferred).

MBA or Master’s in Marketing is highly desirable.
Required Skills
-
10–15+ years in pharmaceutical marketing.
-
Minimum 5 years in a senior marketing leadership role.
-
Proven experience in KSA pharmaceutical market.
-
Experience working with multinational/global alignment structures.
-
Successful track record of product launches in KSA.
-
Experience managing large portfolios preferred.
