Key Responsibilities;
Operational Management
- Plan, schedule, and supervise daily NDT activities
- Assign jobs to NDT technicians and monitor job progress
- Coordinate with QA/QC, maintenance, and production teams to align inspection priorities
- Ensure efficient utilization of personnel and equipment
Quality & Compliance
- Verify that inspections meet client specifications and applicable codes
- Review and approve inspection reports
- Maintain calibration records and ensure compliance with NDT procedures and safety standards
- Support internal and external audits
HSE & Radiation Safety
- Ensure all NDT work complies with radiation safety and local regulatory requirements
Resource & Equipment Management
- Manage NDT equipment inventory, calibration, and maintenance
- Forecast manpower needs and support the recruitment or training of NDT staff
- Ensure all NDT personnel are certified and valid
Client & Project Interface
- Coordinate with project management, QA/QC, and client representatives for inspection activities
- Attend progress and coordination meetings
- Provide technical guidance and resolve inspection-related issues
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports
- Track productivity, job performance, and turnaround time
- Support billing and documentation for completed work
Qualifications & Certifications
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical / Metallurgical / Welding Engineering
- Knowledge in Conventional and Advanced NDT (MPI, DPI, UT, RT, PAUT, TOFD, etc.)
- 7–12 years in NDT, including 3–5 years in a supervisory or lead role
- Valid Level II or III certifications in multiple NDT methods (ASNT SNT-TC-1A / ISO 9712 / PCN / CSWIP)
