Job Summary

The Neonatologist will provide specialized medical care to newborn infants, including premature and critically ill babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role requires close collaboration with pediatricians, obstetricians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional neonatal care and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage medical conditions affecting newborns and premature infants.
  • Provide intensive and emergency neonatal care in the NICU.
  • Attend high-risk deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitation when required.
  • Develop individualized treatment and management plans for neonates.
  • Monitor patient progress, growth, and development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Counsel and communicate effectively with parents and families.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medical records.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital programs.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, ethical standards, and international medical guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Board Certification or equivalent specialization in Neonatology/Pediatrics.
  • Valid medical license or eligibility for registration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Neonatology or NICU practice preferred.
  • NRP and PALS/APLS certifications are an advantage.
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment.
