Job Title: Networking InternOverview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Networking Intern to join our IT/Network Operations team. The intern will support day-to-day network administration tasks, assist in troubleshooting network issues, and help maintain our organization’s network infrastructure. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in computer networking, system administration, and IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, access points).
• Support monitoring of network performance and identify potential issues or bottlenecks.
• Help troubleshoot network connectivity problems for users and systems.
• Document network configurations, diagrams, and procedures for internal reference.
• Participate in routine maintenance activities such as firmware updates, backups, and patching.
• Assist with managing wired and wireless network environments.
• Collaborate with senior network engineers on projects such as network upgrades or security improvements.
• Provide technical support for network-related service tickets.
• Test network changes in lab environments before deployment.
• Ensure adherence to organizational security policies and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and VLANs.
• Familiarity with networking hardware and tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic network issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory)

• Knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, or similar network devices.
• Experience with Wi-Fi networks or security protocols.
• Basic understanding of firewalls and network security.
• Relevant coursework or certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Rs20,000.00 per month
