Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented NOC Engineer to join our Network Operations Center team. The NOC Engineer will be responsible for monitoring network infrastructure, identifying incidents, performing initial troubleshooting, and ensuring the continuous availability and performance of systems and networks. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to respond quickly to technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network, servers, and infrastructure using NOC monitoring tools.
• Detect, analyze, and troubleshoot network and system incidents.
• Respond to alerts and incidents in accordance with established procedures and SLAs.
• Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.
• Maintain detailed incident logs and documentation.
• Perform routine health checks of network devices, servers, and applications.
• Coordinate with system administrators, network engineers, and other IT teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure uptime and performance of critical IT infrastructure.
• Assist in implementing network upgrades, maintenance, and patching activities.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Network Operations Center (NOC), IT support, or network monitoring.
• Basic knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG, or similar.
• Understanding of routers, switches, firewalls, and network infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in shift-based environments (24/7 operations).

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or ITIL.
• Experience with Linux/Windows server environments.
• Knowledge of incident management and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.).

Pay: QAR8,000.00 - QAR12,000.00 per month
