Provide Network support services 24/7 [on site/remote as applicable] based on agreed contractual SLA timelines to customer end users nationwide, Infrastructure teams, Customer’s third-party Contractor’s and business partners
Involvement in network and operations related tasks and activities assigned by team leader and/or operations managers
Configuration and implementation of switching security i.e. VLANs, VLAN’s Routing, VRFs, MAC and/or IP based ACLs, Firewall Filters, etc.
Administration and Management of Network devices e.g. Routers, Switches, Firewalls, VPN Concentrators, Network Appliances etc.
Management, configuration, troubleshooting of network along with associated replacement of faulty hardware components
Management of Return/Repairs (RnR) of faulty hardware components
Actively participate in IT network and operations related project, tasks and activities
As Resident Engineer, regularly meet customers on daily/weekly/monthly basis to understand their issues/pain points and help in smooth O&M of the network and ensure comprehensive reporting towards customers as required
As Resident Engineer, ensure availability and provide on-site/remote support during special events, public holidays, emergency situations, and critical maintenance windows to maintain seamless network operations and reporting
Perform Incident/Trouble Tickets Management for end-customers issues; and maintain knowledge base related to Incident Management along with keeping complete record of Trouble Tickets and getting necessary documentation signed from customers
Coordinate with different departments and upstream providers/OEMs to troubleshoot ongoing issues
Adhere-to all network related policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
Actively monitor network elements events, alerts thresholds via deployed NMS’ and escalate to relevant back-end teams and management accordingly
Support Account Managers/Sales teams to help in finding add-on sales by engaging with customers actively, collecting useful information and support in pre-sales activities
Conducting POCs and customer presentations in coordination with OEMs and NERA pre-sales team
Requirements:
B.E /Electronics engineering/BSc Computer Science
5+ Years’ experience related to IP networks/firewalls or equivalent on other security vendors
Excellent technical knowledge of Routers, Switches, Firewalls and VPN boxes
Cisco, Juniper, Huawei or other OEM Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, HCIP etc will be preferred
DDoS solution experience (F5, Genie Networks) and sound knowledge/awareness of DDoS attacks will be preferred
Working experience in any of the cybersecurity vendors, system integrators, distributors and telecom operators will be preferred
Strong technical background and future technology awareness
