Integrated Network Support (INS) Lead
Location: Quantico, VA
Contract Duration: One-year contract starting March 2026 (with potential extension through March 2031)
Summary:
KeenLogic is seeking an Integrated Network Support (INS) Lead to join one of our government clients. This is a full-time, onsite position offering Fortune 500-level benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k), and life insurance. The Marine Corps Recruiting Command (MCRC) needs a team to keep its nationwide Recruiting Command Enterprise Network (RCEN) highly available, reliable, and secure so recruiters can do their jobs across ~6,000 users and 1,500+ sites CONUS/OCONUS.
The INS Lead oversees the engineering, operations, and sustainment of MCRC’s network infrastructure, which spans wired/wireless LANs, WAN connectivity, perimeter and VPN devices, cloud virtual networking, and unified communications integration. The Lead ensures the RCEN remains compliant with DoD/DoN/USMC standards while delivering secure, resilient, and high-performing network services. The role requires coordination with MARFORCYBER, MCCOG, DISA, HRC, and commercial carriers to sustain operations, manage transitions, and support cloud adoption initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizen
Active Secret or Top Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred
Must have one or more of the following: CompTIA Security+, CND, CEH, Cloud+, GCIH, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, SecurityX / CASP+, CCNA, CCNP Security, CCSP, GCED, GCIA, GCLD, GDSA, GFACT
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day INS operations: Plan, install, operate, maintain, upgrade, and monitor the RCEN network to ensure maximum availability, reliability, and compliance with DoD/USMC directives.
Manage network infrastructure: Oversee WAN, LAN, VPN, VoIP, and perimeter devices (e.g., Cisco switches, Aruba RAPs, Fortinet firewalls, F5 load balancers), ensuring secure configurations in line with DISA STIGs and industry best practices.
Oversee documentation & SOPs: Maintain and update RCEN network SOPs and technical documentation annually; track network assets and telecom devices, reporting discrepancies and lifecycle requirements.
Performance management: Analyze bandwidth and capacity trends with tools such as SolarWinds/Aruba AirWave; provide monthly reports and forecast growth needs.
Change & compliance: Implement CAB-approved network changes; execute IPv6 adoption, Zero Trust models, and Comply-to-Connect (C2C) solutions (e.g., Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, Forescout).
Cloud & virtualization: Support cloud transition by managing virtual networking devices, appliances, and circuits connecting RCEN to Azure GovCloud and other CSP environments.
Voice services: Implement and maintain VoIP and E911 services across the enterprise, ensuring QoS, redundancy, and compliance.
Collaboration & coordination: Liaise with MARFORCYBER, DISA, HRC, and commercial providers on outages, provisioning, and upgrades. Provide technical input for circuit orders and new site activations/decommissions.
Reporting & deliverables: Contribute INS updates to Weekly and Monthly Status Reports; deliver required SOP updates, network configuration documentation, bandwidth/capacity reports, and hardware/software lifecycle tracking.
