Network Security Expert

Purpose:

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s network security architecture, ensuring robust protection against cyber threats while optimizing performance and scalability.

Expected Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance the client network and security architecture.
• Analyze, recommend, and implement new security protocols to mitigate threats and resolve malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve security issues, including hardware and network vulnerabilities.
• Design network security solutions, including cloud integration and segmentation strategies.
• Monitor and analyze network security products and report findings to management.
• Guide and mentor team members in network security and IT.
• Implement and manage firewall rules and policies on enterprise firewalls.

Preferred Skills & General Experience

• Configuring and managing firewalls (FortiGate,Palo Alto, Cisco ASA) in complex network environments
• Securing VPNs and branch connectivity to protect client data transmissions.
• Implementing network segmentation strategies to safeguard sensitive data and
• Implementing cybersecurity standards
• Hands-on experience in vulnerability management and threat detection using tools like Nessus, Qualys, or SIEM solutions.
• Proficiency in network security monitoring systems to ensure all service availability.
• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM solutions (such as FortiSIEM or similar system), vulnerability scanners) and Experience with SIEM solutions, IDS, and vulnerability
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop and implement security solutions.
• Proficiency in scripting/programming for security automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Strong communication and documentation skills for policy development and compliancenreporting.
• Expertise in cloud security, zero-trust architecture, and AI-driven threat intelligence.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, security governance, and risknmanagement frameworks and Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in government cloud security (e.g., AWS/Azure for public sector)

Certifications

• Security certifications with a focus on networking tools.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Cybersecurity/Computer Science/InfoSec with 7+ yrs experience or
• Bachelors in same fields with 10 yrs exp.

Others attributes:

• Candidate having Arabic knowledge will be preferred
• Proficiency in English is required for cybersecurity documentation and reporting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RO1,500.000 - RO2,200.000 per month
