Network Security Senior Specialist

Job Brief:

IT Security Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day security tasks such as, analysis, vulnerability resolution, access controls, and maintenance of an organization's IT security operations. The role involves working closely with other team members, and IT teams to ensure that the organization’s IT security posture is robust and up-to-.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
• Provide recommendations for improvements based on audit findings.
• Staying proactive by using automation tools and PM to resolve vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and organizational security requirements.
• Promote a culture of security awareness within the organization.
• Conduct internal security audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls.
• Provide recommendations for improvements based on audit findings.
• Implement and manage security technologies such as firewalls, antivirus software, intrusion detection/prevention systems, patch management, privileged access management, and endpoint security solutions.
• Stay updated on emerging security technologies and trends.
• Implement and manage access controls to ensure appropriate user access to systems and data.
• Maintain detailed documentation of security incidents, investigations, and actions taken.
• Generate reports for management and regulatory authorities as required.
• Maintain repository for regulatory compliance evidence.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to information security.
• Participate in audits to demonstrate compliance.

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information security, computer science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 4-6yrs of experience in information security roles.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing security controls.
• Strong analytical skills to assess security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Ability to analyse security incidents and determine appropriate responses.
