Network Security Specialist

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technologies, or related fields
• Minimum 5 years of experience in network and security management (Managed Services experience is a plus)
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Sophos XG, and pfSense firewalls
• Experience in firewall management, Load Balancer, and WAF solutions
• Practical knowledge of SSL offloading, reverse proxy, Layer 7 traffic management, and IPS/IDS systems
• Strong expertise in network security, VPN, NAT, UTM, SSL VPN, and IPSEC VPN technologies
• Experience with policy-based routing, redundancy, and VPN gateway management on open-source and commercial firewall platforms
• Proficient in installation and configuration of active network devices such as Cisco switches/routers, Checkpoint, Fortigate , etc.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
• Team-oriented, solution-focused, with strong communication skills
• Checkpoint, Palo Alto (PCNSE), Fortinet (NSE), and Sophos Engineer/Architect certifications are a plus

What You Will Be Doing

• Managing Load Balancer, WAF, and security policies on Fortinet
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Sophos, and pfSense firewalls
• Implementing web application security, IPS/IDS, and DDoS protection mechanisms
• Configuring and maintaining VPN tunnels (IPSec, SSL-VPN), high availability, and NAT rules in multi-vendor environments
• Analyzing network traffic, optimizing performance, and enforcing security policies
• Providing technical support for branches and end users
• SD-WAN deployment and management
• Performing daily system checks, log analysis, and incident management
• Reviewing security policies against emerging threats and providing improvement recommendations
• Preparing technical documentation and delivering training to team members when required
