About the Role
This highly technical role provides Design and Implementation/rollout Consultancy services for HPE Solutions targeted at Enterprise customers. This is a full-time post-sales position on-site and remote, working as part of a wider Juniper Professional Services team.

The HPE PS consulting role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities from Solution design, HLD & LLD design, implementation and migration planning, rollout support, supporting highly escalated issues in production, working with Engineering team to identify changes in the product architecture, guiding other theatre PS consultants on the solution, testing, optimisation services, customer training and KT workshops and be a trusted advisor. The work is remote, with up to 25% travel based on a need basis. The PS Consultant is expected to work collaboratively & Cross functionally with other teams like REs, SE’s, CFTS, JTAC and PS theatre delivery teams.

What you'll do:

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a consultative manner to support full-stack enterprise solutions( SD-WAN, Campus and Branch switching, NAC, Core and Edge, and Wireless) towards the end .
  • Designing, planning ,implementing and roll outs the below solutions using the MIST cloud.
  • Workshops: Design & Rollout Transition Planning
  • Wireless Predictive Design using Ekahau or other tools
  • Create and Update Mist Templates and apply config
  • Creating Pre-Deployment checklists
  • Co-Creating & customizing Site implementation Plans (i.e. Run-Books)
  • Cutover Planning
  • Testing Designs features
  • Maintenance window assistance
  • Post Cutover verification and health checks
  • Knowledge Transfer on Mist deployment and operations
  • SDWAN solution based on SRX and SSR(128T)and SSE platforms.
  • EVPN/VXLAN-based campus/branch switch network.
  • Mist-based wireless solution.
  • SRX based Firewall, NAT, IPS,IDP and UTM.
  • Core and Edge for SP.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth technical knowledge of the Juniper SRX, SSR, QFX, EX, Junos and MIST product lines.
  • Lead deployments to ensure that implementations are consistent with design specifications
  • Providing KT workshops to transfer knowledge to partners, Customers and JTAC.
  • Applying industry best practices to the design, planning, site rollout support and implementation.
  • Applying extensive industry experience to optimize solution design and proactively analyse potential enhancements.
  • Evaluating technical specifications for interoperability.
  • Produce network implementation and migration plans.
  • Provide remote monitoring support with on-going implementation support including health checks.
  • Provide recommendations to customers about network improvements.
  • Participate in requirements and scoping workshops with customers, delivery partners, and sales.
  • Customisation and third party integration using automation scripts/ templates.
  • Evaluate customer networks for performance, scalability, and security and provide recommendations to customers about improvements to network configurations and topologies to prevent problems before they occur.
  • Ensure that PS aspects of engagement follow engagement and delivery processes, working closely with the appropriate Project or Program Manager.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the customer's technical management and teams.
  • Reviewing customer-provided (technical) information.
  • Assisting with hand-over to Operations or a Juniper Networks Operational RE.
  • Support for customer-driven testing, providing technical feedback not only on the product but also on the validity of the test.
  • Tracking and reporting of issues found during testing, Implementation, and migration.
  • Working with customers across different time zones.


What you need to bring:

Qualifications:

  • Expert communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Right attitude of “customer first” & focus so that you can close out operational challenges on both sales and delivery with CSS, Sales, Partners or other Juniper players.
  • Strong design and delivery experience.
  • Strong skills and excellent hands-on and planning capabilities with,
  • Juniper CSO,SRX, SSR(128T) or other SDWAN Products like Versa, Cisco Viptela, Silver peak.
  • DC and Campus fabric implementation with Juniper EX and QFX or Similar products from Cisco, Arista.
  • Mist AP and Cloud or Similar cloud based wireless solution from other vendors like Aruba, Extreme Networks, Cisco Meraki..
  • Experience of designing and deploying RADIUS and NAC enterprise solutions using Cisco ISE, Aruba Clearpass, Forescout or similar vendors will be added advantage.
  • Juniper Networks SRX firewalls and/or of the security products: Cisco, Check Point.
  • Network OS like Junos or IOS.
  • Experience with VPNs and the associated tunnelling technologies and architectures - IPSEC(Authentication and Encryption, DES, 3DES, MD5, SHA, PKI), GRE, SSL, hub and spoke.
  • Layer 3 - IP and related technologies (IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, TCP, GRE, IPSec, QoS).
  • Experience in advanced Datacentre technologies – VxLAN, EVPN, MCLAG, IP Fabric,GBP.
  • Sound knowledge of Service Provider background.
  • Layer 2 technologies (Ethernet, 802.1q/p VLAN, BFD, STP, RSTP, ARP, LACP, VRRP, 802.1x).
  • Experience with NAT (Source, Destination, Static, NAT-PT) and Network Access Control. Hands on experience on NAC products like Cisco Ice, Aruba clearpass, forescout etc.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux servers and network services (DHCP, SNMP, FTP, TFTP, DNS, NTP).
  • Familiar with Wireless technologies like IEEE 802.11 standards (b,g,n, ac,ax), 802.1x Wi-Fi.
  • Strong knowledge of Controller based or cloud based wireless management and solutions.
  • Experience designing, deploying, configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, debugging and administering some of the following Wireless LAN products, devices, and technologies for small, medium, large and/or enterprise businesses such as the following: • Wireless Access Points • Wireless Client Association • Wireless Controllers • CSMA/CA, RTS, CTS protocols • RF transmission/site survey • Antennas
  • WEP encryption (Wired Equivalent Privacy) , WPA (Wi-Fi Protocol Access), WPA2.
  • Experience/Knowledge of Virtualization and Hypervisor Technologies like ESXi, KVM.
  • Ability to execute projects using scripting and/or relevant programming languages, for example, shell, Python, Ansible.
  • Familiar and Hands-On with traffic generation tool (Ixia, Spirent, etc.).
  • Understanding of Cloud Concept, Private and Public Cloud, Design Fundamentals.
  • Application of Firewalls, Access and Perimeter control, Vulnerability Management , Network Intrusion. Detection and prevention, Malware analysis & detection tools, Threat intelligence management, UTM Solutions, Security Signatures.
  • Industry Certifications – Juniper product certifications (JNCIP/CCNP).
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development
  • Software development and Automation with Python, Golang, Ansible, Javascript
  • Knowledge in Containers and Orchestration (Docker, K8S), Kafka, Elastic Search
  • Working experience in Gitlab and Pipelines


Experience/Background Desired:

  • 12+ years’ experience in implementation, Delivery, and Network Solution Architecture in Service Providers and Enterprise domains.
  • 3+ years of SDWAN-related experience.
  • 3+ years of Enterprise routing switching-related experience.
  • 1+ years of wireless-related experience.

Minimum of 5 years in customer-facing/Consultative roles
