Network Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, management, and optimization of a wide range of networking equipment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Meraki wireless solutions, and Fortinet firewalls. You will work on critical network infrastructure projects, ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of our corporate network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Installation & Configuration:
• Install, configure, and manage Cisco Catalyst switches, ensuring efficient data traffic management and network performance.
• Setup and maintain Cisco Meraki wireless networks to ensure secure and stable connectivity.
• Configure and support Fortinet firewalls, ensuring a high level of network security and monitoring.
• Install, configure, and manage Cisco Call Manager for enterprise-level VoIP systems.
• Network Troubleshooting & Optimization:
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues, using network tools and analysis techniques.
• Respond to network incidents and provide rapid resolutions to minimize downtime.
• Regularly update network devices (switches, routers, firewalls) to ensure security patches and firmware updates are up-to-date.
• Security & Compliance:
• Manage and enforce network security protocols, especially with Fortinet firewalls, to protect against threats.
• Perform regular audits of network infrastructure to ensure compliance with internal security standards and best practices.
• Assist in the implementation of network security policies, such as VPNs, access control lists (ACLs), and segmentation.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Create and maintain detailed network diagrams, configuration files, and documentation for all networking hardware and software.
• Prepare reports on network performance, security vulnerabilities, and improvement plans.
• Collaboration & Support:
• Work closely with the IT team and other departments to design and deploy network solutions that meet the company's needs.
• Provide support and training to team members and end-users regarding network-related issues and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Cisco Catalyst switches and Cisco Meraki wireless solutions.
• Hands-on expertise with Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate or similar).
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco Call Manager and VoIP technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on resolving network issues promptly.
• Experience with network security practices, including firewall configuration, VPNs, and ACLs.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar).
• Ability to work with routing protocols and VLANs.
• CCNA or higher Cisco certification preferred.
• Knowledge of network performance optimization techniques.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with network automation tools or scripting.
• Familiarity with other networking technologies such as SD-WAN and VPN.
• Understanding of cloud networking and hybrid IT infrastructures.

Desirable Certification:

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or computer engineering
• 3+ years of experience in network engineering or a similar role.
