Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Network & VoIP Administrator to manage, maintain, and support the organization’s network infrastructure and VoIP communication systems. This role is responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability of all network and voice services in a fast-paced software house environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Administer, support, and optimize VoIP systems such as IP PBX, SIP trunks, IP phones, and softphone solutions.
- Monitor network and call quality performance; proactively troubleshoot network connectivity and voice-related issues.
- Implement and maintain network security measures including firewalls, VPNs, access controls, and regular patching.
- Perform routine system maintenance, upgrades, backups, and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for troubleshooting, escalations, and system enhancements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams for network and VoIP-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies, security standards, and industry best practices.
- Prepare and maintain reports related to network performance, incidents, and system health.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven experience as a Network Administrator, VoIP Administrator, or similar role in an IT or software house environment.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
- Hands-on experience with VoIP technologies including SIP, IP PBX systems, call routing, and QoS.
- Experience using network monitoring, troubleshooting, and diagnostic tools.
- Solid understanding of network security concepts and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or VoIP-related certifications.
- Experience with cloud-based VoIP or Unified Communication platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities during evening or off-hour shifts.
