Networks & CCTV Engineer

A leading company in Smart Homes Solutions is seeking a Networks & CCTV Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network and CCTV solutions that are critical to ensuring operational security and efficiency. Your expertise will help enhance the safety and security of clients' facilities through sophisticated surveillance and monitoring systems.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and troubleshoot IP and analog CCTV systems for residential and commercial environments.
• Install and maintain structured cabling systems (Cat6, fiber where applicable).
• Configure and manage *network infrastructure* including switches, routers, access points, and firewalls.
• Set up and configure NVRs/DVRs, cameras, storage, and remote viewing access.
• Ensure proper network segmentation, bandwidth management, and security for CCTV systems.
• Perform site surveys, prepare system layouts, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity and CCTV performance issues.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, and other technicians during project execution.
• Prepare basic documentation, network diagrams, and system handover reports.
• Provide technical support, maintenance, and system upgrades when required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in networks and CCTV systems.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, PoE, and basic firewall concepts.
• Experience with IP cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and video management software (VMS).
• Familiarity with residential and commercial installation standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and floor plans.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work on-site and handle multiple projects.
• Experience with brands such as Hikvision, Dahua, Uniview, Axis, or similar.
• Knowledge of wireless networking, point-to-point links, or fiber optics.
• Basic understanding of access control or intercom systems.
• Network or CCTV-related certifications.
• Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good time management and attention to detail.
