New Product Development Intern, Food Preparations – Brecksville, OH

We specialize in the custom development of stabilized fruit preparations for the refrigerated & frozen dairy, bakery, and food service industries. We are seeking a New Product Development Intern to join our Product Development team in Brecksville, Ohio. This opportunity is ideal for current college students pursuing a degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field, and graduating seniors seeking hands-on experience looking to build practical skills in a dynamic, global environment.

Key Accountabilities

• Assist in the development and testing of fruit preparation formulas for customer projects and internal innovation.
• Support sample production and preparation for customer presentations and product trials.
• Conduct quality control tests on pilot plant samples and raw materials.
• Perform color and flavor evaluations and record analytical data.
• Collaborate with Product Developers to ensure timely and accurate project execution.
• Participate in product trials and launches, acting as a support resource for the NPD team.

Required Qualifications

• Current college student pursuing a degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related discipline
• Foundational knowledge of food formulation and laboratory practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and support various NPD functions across the organization.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Brecksville, Ohio Corporate Headquarters.
• Open to consider students seeking a part time opportunity as well as full time applicants.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a food science lab or quality control environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
