Newborn Care Specialist/Doula

A warm and intentional family in Costa Mesa is seeking an experienced Newborn Care Specialist to support their 14-week-old son during this important stage of development.

This household values gentle care, structure, and emotional attunement, and is looking for a professional who can bring both expertise and a calming presence into their home.

This is a beautiful opportunity to support a sweet, thriving infant who is now in a wonderful place after a sensitive start to life. The family is deeply committed to maintaining a peaceful, nurturing environment, and is seeking someone who shares that same level of care and intention.

The home includes two well-trained Goldendoodles, so comfort around friendly dogs is important.

Schedule & Commitment

9:00 PM – 6:00 AM

4–5 nights per week

Flexible scheduling based on mutual agreement

Start date: As soon as the right fit is found

Length of assignment: sixteen weeks

Key Responsibilities

- Provide attentive, nurturing overnight care

- Support the transition from swaddle to sleep sack

- Gently guide the baby through upcoming sleep developments, including the 4-month stage

- Implement age-appropriate strategies to encourage healthy sleep habits

- Maintain a calm, restful overnight environment

- Communicate clearly with parents regarding progress and routines

Ideal Candidate

- Experienced Newborn Care Specialist, or Postpartum Doula

- Strong background in infant sleep development

- Naturally gentle, patient, and intuitive

- Confident working with infants who benefit from a calm, responsive approach

- Professional, discreet, and aligned with a high standard of care

Compensation

Competitive, experience-based

($50+/hr for highly qualified candidates)
