We are seeking a confident, articulate, and engaging News Presenter for Radio to deliver timely and accurate news to our audience across television, radio, and/or digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong on-camera presence, and a solid understanding of current affairs, journalism ethics, and broadcasting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Present daily news bulletins, live news updates, and special reports in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
- Work closely with producers, editors, and reporters to ensure accurate and up-to-date content is delivered.
- Conduct interviews with guests, experts, and correspondents.
- Write, proofread, and edit scripts when necessary.
- Stay informed on current events, breaking news, and relevant stories that impact the audience.
- React quickly to breaking news situations and provide live coverage as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor on-air and in public.
- Use teleprompters and studio equipment effectively.
- Engage with the audience through social media and other platforms when appropriate.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Media, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a news anchor, presenter, or journalist.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong editorial judgment and knowledge of media law and journalism ethics.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Confident on camera and skilled at public speaking.
- Familiarity with broadcast equipment, teleprompters, and studio operations.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Skills:
- Multilingual ability is a plus.
- Experience with live reporting or field journalism.
- Strong social media presence and digital storytelling skills.
- Knowledge of video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
Work Environment:
- Studio-based with occasional field reporting.
- May involve long or irregular hours, especially during breaking news or special events.
