HD Media has an immediate opening for a full-time news reporter for the Williamson Daily News, a weekly newspaper in southern West Virginia.

This opportunity would be ideal for an up-and-coming journalist or veteran writer who is excited about writing and bringing local news through coverage of community issues and events. Journalism experience is preferred, but not required.

Duties include pursuing local and regional stories that would be of interest to readers, take photographs, gather content for the WDN website and be an active member of the local community.

This is on-site work, approximately 40 hours per week.

Staff writers will be considered for an opportunity to move into an editing position as they become available.

Requires a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, as the position does require minimal travel. HD Media offers mileage reimbursement.
