NIGHT DISPATCH-
This position is 5pm-5am with rotating nights
Overall Objective: To maintain operational consistency after normal working hours. Follow through with what the Load Planners and Fleet Managers have set up during normal working hours.
Working relationship : Reports to Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all incoming calls from drivers and customers.
- Monitor electronic messages for the entire fleet and respond to drivers’ requests and inquiries accordingly.
- Track loads every 2 hours to insure on time delivery.
- Handle O.S.&D issues as they arise.
- Handle all accidents as they arise.
- Complete all computer work for Loaded Calls, Empty Calls, Relays, Etc.

- Ability to plan and meet deadlines, prioritize, and handle several projects simultaneously.
- Ability to be self-directing and to work with a minimum of supervision.
- Demonstrated effective problem solving capability with creativity in providing solutions to new issues to exploring alternatives.
- Ability to communicate effectively and employ a high level of diplomacy and tact both verbally and in writing.
- Broad-based understanding of and proficiency in the use of PC's and other skills, which include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint.
- Acts somewhat independently using discretion in the disposition of routine and non-routine matters.
Preferred:
- AS400 experience
- EOBRs experience
- Understanding of Hours Of Service
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.81 - $24.03 per hour
