Description
The Night Manager is responsible for leading and managing all sections of the hotel during the night to ensure the highest standards of security and service in accordance with company policies, procedures, and Kempinski standards.
They oversee the smooth operation of hotel activities during the night shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage hotel and front office operations such as check-ins, check-outs, and guest assistance, ensuring compliance with policies and guest satisfaction.
- Train, develop, and manage the performance of front office staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Maximize hotel revenue through inventory control, group bookings, packages, upselling, and enforcing late charge policies to optimize REVPAR.
- Handle guest complaints during the night to ensure satisfaction and proper documentation.
- Greet VIP guests upon arrival, escort them to their rooms, and provide assistance throughout their stay.
- Manage overbooking situations professionally during sell-out nights to minimize guest dissatisfaction.
- Patrol the hotel at least twice per shift to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper order, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Stay informed about emergency procedures, hotel promotions, VIP arrivals, upcoming events, and brief staff accordingly.
- Record guest complaints and incidents in the hotel logbook for follow-up and consistency.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory role in Front Office
- Financial and accounting knowledge
- Experience in a five-star international hotel is preferred
