Night Server / Bartender — High-Earning Shifts — Downtown KC Sports Bar

We’re Downtown Kansas City’s premier sports bar — 209 seats, 20 screens, 50+ beers on tap, and a self-pour beer wall. Kansas City is hosting six FIFA World Cup 2026 matches, and the city’s official FIFA Fan Festival will run June 11 through July 11 at the National WWI Museum and Memorial. This summer is going to be a monster, and we need a front-of-house team that can handle volume, move fast, and still give great service.

This is not an entry-level FOH role. We want people who know how to run a section, handle a slammed bar, explain the beer wall to first-timers, know the menu cold, and close strong without bringing chaos with them. Your job here is not just to take orders. It is to guide guests, sell confidently, and keep the shift under control. Taps’ service standards expect servers to know the menu, explain the beer wall, guide guests through sauces and add-ons, and upsell naturally.

What you’ll make
Real numbers from our last 4 weeks of Toast data:

• Friday/Saturday nights: typically $60–$85/hour with tips
• Top shifts: can clear $90+/hour
• Weeknights: typically $30–$45/hour with tips
• Base pay: $7.50/hour plus tips
• Cash tips in pocket, card tips paid through payroll

What you’ll do

• Serve tables or bartend — we’ll place you where you fit best after the interview
• Work the self-pour beer wall into your service flow and explain it clearly to first-time guests
• Learn the menu cold: Tonawanda wings, smash burgers, shareables, sauces, add-ons, and key modifiers
• Tend bar with speed, accuracy, and urgency
• Own your section or your well
• Support your teammates, stay organized, and close strong

What we’re looking for

• 1+ year of recent serving or bartending experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant
• Can handle a big section or a slammed bar without falling apart
• Reliable, on time, and professional
• Strong with guests, regulars, and first-timers
• Weekend availability is required
• Good energy is great. A strong work ethic matters more.
