Purpose

During site-wide nightshift operations, monitor all relevant contractor activity to ensure work meets the planned project schedule and other project specifications, delivering safe and high quality results on time.

Job Responsibilities

• Overall management and coordination of construction contractors for the construction area assigned, to maximize productivity and maintain schedule.
• Report to Senior Construction Manager and project management team daily.
• Lead weekly construction management meetings with all contractors and management teams to report progress, discuss issues, and amend schedules.
• Develop contingency and recovery plans as required.
• Monitor contractor performance and utilization; provide continuous improvement input and strategy development.
• Track project materials and long lead item delivery dates relative to construction schedules and milestones.
• Apply knowledge of construction techniques and equipment to develop strategies and manage overall quality and efficient daily production.
• Develop solutions to complex problems requiring significant innovation and ingenuity.
• Manage all on site contractors in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems, and company approved requirements.
• Develop procedures as needed.
• Act as liaison between multiple project managers, construction teams, and contractors.
• Provide constructability input and construction planning.
• Ensure safety of supervised personnel; enforce safety policies, procedures, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones; monitor progress against established schedules and report as required.
• Supervise contractors and subordinate staff activities.
• Review project in depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
• Conduct weekly HSE construction management walks of the site with all contractors and client management teams.
• Ensure quality plans and QA/QC procedures are implemented, followed, and reported as stipulated by the contract.

Technical And Industry Experience

• Relevant experience in large scale industrial projects - proven work experience required.
• Solid Middle Eastern experience, ideally in Saudi Arabia.
• Minimum 15 years' experience in construction.
• In depth knowledge of challenges associated with nightshift working.
• Proven experience managing complex construction projects.
• Solid safety implementation experience and successful safety performance.
• Solid quality assurance experience and performance.
