Schedule: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Contract: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Experience: Less than 1 year accepted

About the Role

We are hiring a Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract in Portales, NM. This role is with a rural healthcare organization and supports both inpatient and outpatient therapy services with a patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans
• Provide therapy services in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Support mobility, strength, balance, functional recovery, and independence
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility, and safety techniques
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in Meditech

Requirements

• Active New Mexico Physical Therapist license required
• BLS/BCLS certification required
• Physical Therapist experience preferred
• Newer therapists may be considered
• Inpatient or outpatient therapy experience preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills
• Ability to work day shift, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
