NMCI Asset Management Technician

Job Description:


  • Maintain and prepare NMCI/Nautilus Pool Room assets to support NAWCWD customers, with a priority on new hires.

  • Coordinate the full life cycle of tech refresh and direct ship assets, including logistics with ACTR, NMCI Field Services, shipping/receiving, and deployment to end users. Deployment includes first-time login, issuance, and tracking via the Navy Enterprise Tool (NET).

  • Ensure NET is updated accurately by directly managing entries or coordinating with NMCI POCs.

  • Collaborate with NMCI Field Services for reimages, component installs/uninstalls, and other technical needs.

  • Provide front-line customer support including first-time login, troubleshooting, printer connections, PIV alignment, and escalation of complex issues such as Flank Speed, data recovery, and certificate problems.

  • Prepare and issue assets to users, including updates, reimages, and follow-ups for unclaimed equipment.

  • Manage incoming/outgoing software installations and asset configurations.

  • Deliver comprehensive support to NMCI/Nautilus users, minimizing downtime through troubleshooting, research, and resolution guidance.

  • Monitor and manage spare asset inventory to balance availability with cost-efficiency.

  • Communicate effectively throughout the deployment process with leadership, customers, and NMCI teams to minimize delays.

  • Support VIPs with high-level troubleshooting, including data backup, transfer, and technical coordination.

  • Pull and test system images, configure and troubleshoot assets as needed.

  • Compile and analyze large datasets to generate clear, actionable metrics.

  • Participate in team meetings and assist in training on new policies and procedures.

  • Track unused assets, coordinate with users and POCs for cancellations, and work with CRuD for proper disposal of outdated or damaged equipment.

  • Note: There is some physical labor involved with ability to unbox and lift/stack assets

  • Education and Work Experience Requirements:

    U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.

    Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance the for the duration of employment.

    A Junior level person within a labor category has 2 years of experience and a High School Diploma.

    A Junior level person is responsible for assisting more senior positions and/or performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions.

    Salary: the expected pay range for this position is $34,944 to $72,800 but is subject to change.
