***Candidate MUST HOLD current Medication Technician (for Assisted Living) to apply for position.***
1. Adheres to and conveys the philosophy of Assisted Living and Memory Care. Has awareness and practices in accordance with the regulations ofthe state;
2. Receives reports from the previous shift and Med Tech;
3. Maintains physician's orders in accordance with policy;
4. Communicates appropriately with physicians, Administrator, Wellness Director, outside health
care agencies and others as appropriate;
5. Utilizes communication tools as per policy;
6. Consistently complete documentation using appropriate tools in accordance with policy;
7. Maintains the Medical Technician Recordsin accordance with policy and procedure;
8. Orders,stores, and assists with self-administration ofmedicationsin accordance withcurrent state
regulations and community policy and procedure;
9. Demonstratesknowledgeofinfectioncontrolanduniversalprecautions.
10. Assures doors are alarmed at all times, if needed;
11. Reports deficiencies observed in resident apartments, clothing/linen and community to
Administrator. Completes Incident Report form as needed for any unusual occurrence;
12. Observes and communicates any changesin resident physical ormentalstatus as directed;
13. Is thoroughlyfamiliarwithfire,missingpersons,andotheremergency procedures,follows
community policy and procedures detailed in fire and disaster plans;
14. Avoidsloss, breakage, and waste ofsupplies and equipment. Maintains a neat and orderly
Medication Room;
15. Wears name tag at all times;
16. Maintains resident record for each resident including, but not limited to, obtaining current physician
orders, clarifying orders, and resident monthly and alert charting;
17. Maintains service plan. May participate in Service Plan reviews;
18. Performs all other related duties assigned by the Wellness Director or Administrator.
SHIFT: 10pm-6am

Job Qualifications:
1. Must HAVE state approved 16-hour Medication Technician Certification program and
annually pass an 8-hour state approved Medication Technician Certification program;
2. Performs resident care with an awareness of dignity and individuality,
3. with understanding and concern;
4. Maintains acceptable attendance record; notifies supervisor is late or unable to
work in accordance with personnel policies; follows work schedule;
5. Requires minimal supervision. Is a self-starter;
6. Organizes and utilizes time appropriately; sets priorities and accomplishes assigned tasks;
7. Displays mature behavior and attitude in speech and action; demonstrates consistently pleasant demeanor, tone of voice, supports the philosophy and approach to care required by the community.
8. Keeps resident information confidential; respects resident's rights; respects privacy and right
to self-determination of residents;
9. Performs unpleasant tasks with grace; works cooperatively with supervisors and displays
willingness to assist co-workers;
10. Abides by established policies and procedures of community. Looks for ways to improve
community functioning;
11. Keeps work areas neat and clean; helps maintain appearance of community;
12. Is able to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing;
13. Has ability to spend long periods on feet and to ambulate quickly;
14. Is free of non-treated communicable disease;
15. Is accurate, dependable, neat and thorough in assigned tasks;
16. Ability and willingness to learn quickly;
17. Ability to utilize and apply basic management skills.
Universal Precautions:
Exposure to blood/bodily fluids is likely.
Physical Requirements:
Has ability to do occasional heavy lifting of residents (up to 40lbs).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
