Lambariello, Smith & Speed, LLC | Warren, NJ (Hybrid)
About Us
Recruiters: please do not contact us. Unsolicited outreach will be ignored and will permanently remove you and your company from future consideration. Don’t waste your time or ours.
We are a dynamic, women-owned and led law firm with over 25 years of experience representing clients in litigation, estate, and business matters throughout New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. We pride ourselves on maintaining long-lasting client relationships while fostering a firm culture that values professional growth, collaboration, and personal well-being. As our practice grows, we’re seeking a skilled Non-Attorney Sales Professional to join our team and help translate referrals and inquiries into meaningful client relationships.
What You’ll Do
You will play a pivotal role in building our client base—responsibly, ethically, and consultatively. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing your own schedule of prospective new clients (PNCs) and leads assigned by the firm
- Conducting inbound consultative sales conversations (via phone, video, or in person) to understand the PNC’s situation, educate them on our services (without giving legal advice), and help them decide whether to engage the firm
- Following up with PNCs who decline, delaying response, or miss appointments (“no’s”) to re-engage or close future opportunities
- Pre-conditioning prospects via email, packet delivery, or educational materials so they arrive informed and ready for consultation
- Keeping detailed, timely notes of all client/prospect interactions in the CRM or case management system
- Facilitating a seamless and professional “hand-off” to attorneys or intake/paralegal teams once a prospect becomes a client
- Opening new client files, ensuring onboarding is handled smoothly, and performing quality checks at key milestones (e.g. first 30 days)
- Collaborating with leadership on lead volume, lead quality, metrics, and feedback on processes from the “front lines”
- Using a consultative selling methodology—listening actively, asking thoughtful questions, aligning needs with service options
- Respecting ethics and bar rules concerning legal sales—clearly disclaiming non-attorney status, not providing legal advice, and ensuring compliance in all communications
- Meeting or exceeding agreed upon sales / engagement conversion goals, pipeline metrics, and performance targets
What We Expect of You
- 2+ years of experience in consultative sales, business development, or client acquisition—ideally in professional services or high-ticket offerings
- Proven track record of converting leads into clients or customers
- Comfort and effectiveness in phone/virtual selling and in person outreach
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to explain complex ideas simply
- Empathy, professionalism, and integrity in all interactions
- Self-motivated with excellent follow-through, persistence, and resilience
- Experience with a CRM, lead tracking, and sales metrics / reporting
- Appreciation for process, metrics, transparency, and accountability
- Ability to work in a hybrid model (some in-office, some remote)
- Understanding (or willingness to learn) of legal service processes, and awareness of ethical boundaries in marketing legal services
Why Join Us
- Compensation: $40,000-$70,000 (commensurate with experience and performance)
- Hybrid/flexible work arrangement
- Health insurance, 401(k) with employer match
- Paid time off and firm holidays
- Professional development and growth opportunities
- A collaborative, supportive environment where your contributions are valued
