Non-Clinical Case Manager

The Non-Clinical Case Manager is responsible for tracking, managing, and coordinating medical readiness requirements for the Wyoming Army National Guard (WYARNG). This role involves administrative case management, medical records handling, and data entry to ensure that Soldiers meet the required Medical Readiness Classification (MRC) standards. This is a fully ON SITE IN PERSON position located in Cheyenne, WY.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter and update medical information in MHS-Genesis, MODS, MEDCHART, PRT, and DenClass databases.
  • Scan, file, and track Soldier Treatment Records (STRs) in both digital and hard-copy formats.
  • Initiate, document, and follow up on medical profiling actions and treatment plans.
  • Process and track medical board cases (MEB, NDR-PEB, MAR2) from initiation to resolution.
  • Assist Soldiers in understanding their medical readiness requirements and necessary actions.
  • Attend Physical Health Assessment (PHA) events and assist in processing Soldier medical records.
  • Contact Soldiers, unit administrators, and medical providers to gather and verify medical documentation.
  • Track medical and dental appointments and coordinate follow-up actions.
  • Ensure proper final disposition of STRs for Soldiers transferring, retiring, or separating from the military.
  • Support unit commanders and Soldiers by coordinating medical administrative actions for readiness.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical administration, case management, or military medical readiness.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and military health systems is preferred.
  • Military medical administration experience may substitute for formal education.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in MHS-Genesis, MODS, MEDCHART, and PRT (training provided if needed).
  • Familiarity with Army medical policies, including AR 40-66, AR 40-501, and AR 40-502.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and pass a background check.
  • Must complete Antiterrorism (AT) Level 1, iWATCH, OPSEC, HIPAA, and PII training within 30 days of employment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work one weekend per month for PHA events.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
