Job Title: Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver & Attendant

Location: TMC Transport, Vero Beach, Florida

Job Summary: TMC Transport in Vero Beach, Florida, is seeking a dedicated and reliable Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver & Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical appointments and facilities. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of driving experience, a clean driving record, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service. Candidates must also pass a background check.

Responsibilities:

• Safe Transport: Operate company vehicles, including vans and shuttles, to transport patients to and from medical appointments and facilities in a safe and timely manner.
• Patient Care: Provide compassionate and courteous service to patients, ensuring a comfortable and secure ride. Assist patients with boarding and disembarking as needed.
• Compliance: Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving. Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to safety protocols.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure vehicles are clean, organized, and in good working order. Conduct routine inspections and perform minor maintenance tasks as necessary.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and dispatch, providing updates and addressing any concerns or special needs.
• Documentation: Accurately complete and submit any required documentation related to patient transport and vehicle maintenance.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in commercial driving or a similar role, preferably with experience in non-emergency medical transport.
• Driving Skills: Proven ability to safely operate various types of vehicles with a strong understanding of road safety and defensive driving techniques.
• Customer Interaction: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with patients and their families.
• Physical Capability: Ability to assist with the lifting and moving of patients or equipment as needed.
• Background Check: Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
• typical full-time work week will be 4 -6 days per week (one day being a weekend day) 10-12 hours per day as needed. You are welcome to take advantage of overtime, once available. Start and end times may change and is not set in stone and will fluctuate depending on need for the day.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Medical Transport Experience: Previous experience in non-emergency medical transport or a related healthcare field is advantageous.
• Local Knowledge: Familiarity with Vero Beach and surrounding areas is a plus.

• $14/hr-Attendant
• $15/hr - Stretcher Driver - Candidate has no prior experience - Candidate has the ability to move to 16/hr after a series of evaluation during on the job training
• $16/hr - Stretcher Driver - Candidate comes with experience and is able to demonstrate knowledge and proficiency on day one of on the job training
