Job Summary

Duties

• Safely operate paratransit vans, or other commercial vehicles to transport clients to scheduled appointments and destinations.
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs.
• Ensure all vehicles are maintained properly by conducting routine inspections and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations diligently to guarantee passenger safety at all times.
• Communicate clearly with clients to confirm pick-up and drop-off details, providing excellent customer service with a friendly attitude.
• Manage vehicle documentation such as logs, mileage records, and maintenance reports accurately.
• Handle light lifting tasks when assisting passengers or loading/unloading mobility aids or luggage.

Experience

• Prior shuttle driving or delivery driver experience is highly preferred; experience operating buses, limousines, or paratransit vehicles is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type—such as <PERSON> driver license or equivalent.
• Familiarity with bus driving, heavy lifting, and vehicle maintenance practices enhances your effectiveness in this role.
• Strong communication skills are essential for interacting professionally with clients and team members.
• Experience in customer service roles that require patience, empathy, and clear communication is highly valued.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to transportation services ensures compliance with all regulations.
• Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks helps maintain fleet reliability.
