Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport passengers.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous support for those with mobility challenges or special needs.
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers, passengers, and healthcare providers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly.
• Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure passenger safety and compliance.
• Handle heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading mobility aids or luggage while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
• Provide stretcher transportation.

Experience

• Previous NEMT driver experience is preferred, but not necessary.
• Clean driving record.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with diverse passengers and team members.
• Familiarity with paratransit services or non-emergency medical transportation operations is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and assist passengers safely during daily operations.

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
