Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles such as shuttle buses, limousines, and paratransit vans to transport clients to scheduled appointments.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring comfort and safety at all times.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to guarantee optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and address special needs or requests.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to maintain a secure transportation environment.
- Manage scheduling logistics efficiently to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs while maintaining flexibility for last-minute changes.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading mobility aids or luggage, adhering to proper safety protocols.
Skills
- Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or limousine service that demonstrates reliability and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of paratransit operations and familiarity with heavy lifting techniques for assisting passengers or equipment.
- Ability to handle commercial driving responsibilities with a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., <PERSON> driver license).
- Experience in school bus driving or other specialized transportation roles is a plus.
- Excellent driving skills combined with a clean driving record; experience in limousine or bus driving preferred.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to identify issues early and ensure vehicle safety standards are met.
