Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

We are currently hiring for our early morning shift. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate vehicles including vans, and paratransit vans to transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other destinations
  • Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous support and ensuring comfort throughout the journey
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability
  • Maintain accurate digital logs of trips, mileage, and passenger information in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any special needs or concerns
  • Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to guarantee safe transportation at all times
  • Handle heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading mobility aids or luggage while prioritizing passenger safety

Skills

  • Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or limousine service with a strong focus on customer care
  • Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., <PERSON> driver license or commercial driver’s license) with a clean driving record
  • Familiarity with paratransit operations, heavy lifting techniques, and vehicle maintenance procedures
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with passengers, healthcare providers, and team members
  • Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS devices or maps while maintaining awareness of road conditions
  • Strong attention to safety protocols and compliance standards for non-emergency medical transportation services
  • Experience in school bus driving or similar roles is a plus but not required

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
