Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver to join our dynamic team. Duties

  • Safely operate various types of vehicles including shuttle buses, limousines, and commercial vans to transport patients and clients to medical facilities or other destinations.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous support and ensuring their comfort throughout the journey.
  • Maintain a clean, well-maintained vehicle by performing routine inspections, basic maintenance checks, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure secure transportation at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and clients to coordinate pick-up and drop-off schedules.
  • Handle necessary paperwork such as trip logs, mileage reports, and incident reports accurately and promptly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger needs with professionalism, patience, and empathy.

Experience

  • Prior shuttle driving or delivery driver experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience operating buses, limousines, or other commercial vehicles such as <PERSON> drivers or school bus driving is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability in heavy lifting and assisting passengers with mobility challenges.
  • Strong communication skills to interact clearly with clients, healthcare staff, and team members.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance procedures to ensure safety and reliability of transportation equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated; commercial driving license (CDL) preferred but not required depending on vehicle size.
  • Familiarity with paratransit services or similar non-emergency transportation systems is advantageous. Pay: Up to $2,800.00 per month
