If you want to be the
“Non Financial Risk Management Director”
to be responsible for ensuring compliance with ING non-financial risk management policies, related Turkish regulations and applicable international regulations to fulfil a second line of defence role in effective management of non-financial risks of the Bank, providing advice and challenge on implementation of ING policy and standards, providing training for non-financial risk management;
Non-Financial Risk Management Director is placed within Risk domain and reports directly to Risk Committee on local level and to Head of Non-Financial Risk Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting on global level (functional reporting line).
The Non-Financial Risk team (10 FTEs) is composed of 2 sub-team: Operational Risk Management and Information Risk Management.
If you think you have most of the following
qualifications;

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Law or other relevant areas (Master’s degree would be a plus)
-

15 years
of experience in risk management role, with +
5 years of people management
experience
-
Preferably holding an industry certification (CIA, CRISC, etc.) or committed to get one in a year
-
Deep expertise in non-financial risks, such as: fraud, 3rd party risk management, employment practice risk, physical security, processing risk, payments risk, data risk, IT risk, product approval, operational resilience and business continuity
-
Knowledge of Banking business, products, processes, systems and associated laws & regulations
-
Collaboration skills and ability to work across both functional and hierarchical lines (matrix organization);
-
Pro-activeness, persuasiveness and result oriented:
-
Good analytical skills, sound judgment and able to translate complex risks into clear, actionable executive insights;
-
Skilled in strategic risk thinking and complex stakeholder management;
-
Demonstrated experience presenting to C-Suite and Board level audiences
-
Possess multi-tasking abilities and strong problem-solving skills
-
Effective team leader with coaching, collaboration, stakeholder management, rapport building skills and high ethical standards

Proven capability to manage change

Experience with international and complex organizations with an innovative perspective

High level of English and Turkish proficiency (both written and spoken)
Would be considered a plus:

Having professional education and an international certification for Information (Technology) Risk Management (e.g. CISA, CISSP);

Knowledge and experience in information risk management and/or IT and cyber security standards
If you think you may take charge of the following
responsibilites;
-
Guide and challenge the business on their compliance with ING policies and related local/international regulations, and in identifying and assessing risks, as well as designing and implementing adequate the remediation actions
-
Raising the NFR awareness throughout ING
-
Ensures monitoring and risk reporting on the 1st Line of Defence/business adherence to the risk appetite and escalating breaches where necessary.
-
Coordinates the Non financial risk committee including proper follow up and ensures periodic risk reporting (via risk dashboards) and ad hoc reporting (deep-dives, lessons learnt, escalations).
-
Execute 2nd Line Monitoring activities on bank-wide control frameworks (SOX, Enterprise Risk Management, Key Control Testing, etc.)
-
Ensures 2nd line risk advice and challenge is provided for key decisions related to: new product approvals, main change initiatives/project, outsourcing arrangements, significant process changes, etc. And exercises veto rights and escalates where risk appetite or control quality is insufficient;
-
Oversees and challenges the Issue & event management process, ensuring timely mitigation of risk issues by the 1st line, and proper response to the events by the 1st line, including delivery root cause analysis and lessons learnt – to prevent events re-occurrence.

Provides advice and challenge in bank risk identification & assessment processes
-
Contributes to the development and maintenance of Risk Management governance documents and methods;
-
Works in close collaboration with various stakeholders across the bank, such as departments within COO, CIO, CFO and Front office/ Business line and with 1st line risk teams, Compliance and Legal
-
Leads, coaches and guides the NFR team with appropriate strategies and leadership skills
