Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and creative Non-Linear Editor (NLE) to join our fast-paced news team.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, an eye for detail, and the ability to edit news content swiftly while maintaining high editorial standards, as well as to upload on social media.

He will work closely with producers, reporters, and technical staff to create engaging, accurate, and broadcast-ready news packages.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit daily news stories, features, and special reports using non-linear editing software and upload to social media
• Select, cut, and assemble raw video footage into polished news content.
• Ensure all edits adhere to editorial guidelines, newsroom deadlines, and brand style.
• Add graphics, lower thirds, and other visual elements as required.

Skills & Competencies Required

• Proficiency in non-linear editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Edius, DaVinci Resolve).
• Strong understanding of news editing techniques and storytelling.
• Ability to work quickly under tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Knowledge of broadcast formats, codecs, and export settings.
• Familiarity with newsroom workflows and media asset management systems.
• Creativity in visual presentation while maintaining factual accuracy.
• SEO/SEM/Social Media expert
• Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online end user acquisition
• In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years experience in a news editing environment.
• Knowledge of current affairs and a keen interest in journalism.

Working Hours

• 8 hrs , Flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by the news cycle.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs30,000.00 - Rs40,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Islamabad: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
