At BeLoved Pet Sitting, we’re hiring dependable, compassionate Dog Walkers & Pet Sitters to join our growing team serving South San Diego.

This role is perfect for someone who is self-motivated, responsible, comfortable working independently, and confident handling dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels.

Availability Requirements

We are currently hiring team members who can commit to:

• At least 4 days per week
• Minimum 10 hours weekly
• Minimum 12-month commitment

Applicants must be available for at least 4 of the following shift options:

Morning & Evening Split Shifts

• 7:30 AM–10:00 AM
• 5:00 PM–8:00 PM
• Available any day of the week

Midday Shift

• 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
• Monday through Friday

What You’ll Do

• Walk dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
• Safely handle dogs that pull, react, or need leash guidance
• Provide feeding, water, medications, and general pet care
• Clean litter boxes, pick up pet waste, and maintain tidy pet areas
• Follow detailed care instructions from pet parents
• Monitor pets for health or behavioral concerns and report updates promptly
• Communicate professionally with clients and management
• Build trust through reliable, consistent care

What We’re Looking For

• Experience caring for pets personally or professionally
• Reliable vehicle with valid driver’s license, registration, and insurance
• Comfortable driving 30+ miles daily between appointments
• Smartphone with reliable data access
• Physically able to walk several miles daily and handle larger dogs
• Strong time management and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve in the field
• Comfortable cleaning pet messes and handling household tasks
• Flexible and willing to occasionally assist with short-notice coverage
• Willingness to complete training in:
• Pet CPR
• Pet First Aid
• Animal behavior and safety
• Full availability during peak holiday periods including:
• Thanksgiving
• Christmas

• Chula Vista
• Imperial Beach
• North Park

Pay & PerksAverage Earnings

1-Hour Dog WalksApproximately $29.45 total compensation including:

• Hourly pay
• Drive-time compensation
• Mileage reimbursement
• Tips

30-Minute Dog WalksApproximately $20.83 total compensation including:

• Hourly pay
• Drive-time compensation
• Mileage reimbursement
• Tips

Split Shift Bonus

Earn an additional $16.90 when you complete both a morning and evening shift in the same day.
