Job description: NoSQL Database Engineer (Cassandra & MongoDB)

We are seeking a skilled NoSQL Database Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience managing Cassandra and MongoDB in production environments. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about database performance, scalability, and reliability in cloud-based ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain production-grade Cassandra and MongoDB clusters.
• Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
• Manage backups, data recovery, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Support schema design, data migration, and live system troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to align database solutions with business needs.
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure high availability and incident response.

Required Skills:

• 3–5 years of experience with Cassandra and MongoDB in production settings.
• Strong understanding of replication, sharding, and backup strategies.
• Proficient in Linux environments and scripting (Bash or Python).
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Effective communication and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana) and version control systems (Git).
