Shift: Days, 40hrs/ week

Contract Length: We are looking for someone who would have an end date of 1/9/2027. The amount of weeks will be dependent on when they can start

Job Description: Lumbee group is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, produce high-quality diagnostic images, and provide exceptional patient care while maintaining radiation safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • Ability to operate Nuclear Medicine equipment required.

  • Knowledge of Keyboard Patient Registration and Sieman Software required.

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology/Nuclear Medicine program required.

  • NMTCB or ARRT certification required.

  • Kentucky State certification required.

  • BLS Required

Responsibilities:

  • Perform venipuncture and administer radiopharmaceuticals as required.

  • Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Perform Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures and transmit images to PACS for radiologist interpretation.

  • Prepare patients by reviewing questionnaires, medical history, and required documentation.

  • Educate patients and their families about procedures and answer questions.

  • Complete radiation safety documentation and equipment quality control/testing.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and exam documentation.

  • Coordinate patient scheduling with other departments to ensure efficient workflow.

  • Participate in the on-call rotation to provide 24-hour departmental coverage as scheduled.

  • Maintain inventory and supplies while promoting cost-effective use of departmental resources.

  • Assist with orientation and training of new staff as assigned.

  • Follow all infection control, safety, confidentiality (HIPAA), and hospital policies.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills

  • Experience performing Nuclear Medicine procedures independently.

  • Venipuncture and radiopharmaceutical administration.

  • Experience with PACS image management.

  • Knowledge of radiation safety practices and equipment quality control.

  • Experience using Siemens Nuclear Medicine software.

  • Familiarity with electronic patient registration systems.

  • Excellent communication and patient education skills.
