RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:- Performs clinical diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, including general imaging studies, cardiac studies and therapeutic radionuclide administrations.
- Performs the computer processing associated with diagnostic examinations.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:- Essential: standing, sitting, walking, stooping/bending, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting/carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 30 pounds, patient movement: pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds; lifting: horizontal lift/carry up to 50 pounds, and repetitive arm and wrist movement consistent with computer/mouse usage.
- Occasional: kneeling, squatting, twisting body, reaching above, at, and below shoulder, repetitive arm/hand motions.
- Operates computer, gamma cameras, radiation detectors.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
- Exposure to radioactive materials and radiation.
- Must be able to adjust schedule for “on-call” coverage involving, but not limited to, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:- Current Hawaii State license as a Nuclear Medical Technologist.
- Current BLS/HCP certification.
B. EXPERIENCE:- Experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.
