Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform treatment plans.
- Administer medications and injections accurately, including medication management tailored to individual patient needs.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for precise documentation of patient interactions and medical records.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations using laboratory experiences, specimen collection.
- Educate patients and their families on health coaching topics like chronic disease management, hospice & palliative medicine, or dementia care to promote ongoing wellness.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license with current registration in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in diverse healthcare settings or assisted living communities.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for procedures, and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks is a plus.
- Competency in performing physical examinations, injection administration, aseptic technique, and infection control protocols.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages—including geriatrics—especially those with disabilities or memory/dementia challenges.
- Critical care experience preferred—such as ICU or Level I/II Trauma Center experience—and familiarity with infectious disease care and acute pain management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for triage assessments and case management; ability to work under pressure.

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
